Greetings KACP,
We are excited about the upcoming KACP Retreat. The host hotel for the retreat is the InterContinental in Buckhead, Atlanta. The rooms are just about filled to capacity and we want to make sure you are in the number. If you have not yet reserved your room, please do so no later than December 15th in order to get the group rate. To make reservations call 1-877-422-8254.
In addition, the room rate of $219 +tax includes lunch for one (1) person; therefore, if you are sharing a room with someone OR if you are not staying at the host hotel, your cost for lunch is $100 ($50 per day).
Finally, each year as a part of our retreat, we always plan a night of fun and fellowship. This year on Wednesday evening (Jan 11th), we will be going to see the play entitled “The God of Carnage” starring Jasmine Guy. KACP will be covering your ticket as well as your spouse’s ticket for the play; however, we do ask that you cover the cost for your dinner that evening which will be $50.00 per person at “Shout Restaurant.” I am sure that this will be a great evening of fun fellowship and relaxation. Please plan to arrive in Atlanta early Wednesday afternoon so that we can all travel to dinner and the play together by travel that will be arranged by KACP. Please R.S.V.P. by December 15th to let us know if you and/or your spouse will be attending the dinner and fellowship. You may R.S.V.P. to Deaconess Renita Fulton at 410-945-3000 ext 3018 or via email at rfulton@newpsalmist.org.
Please note that our Executive Staff will be prepared to collect all fees at our reception desk upon your arrival.
Thank you,

We are returning to the city of Atlanta and looking forward to a great experience. Our theme this year is “The Multidimensional Nature of Balance”. It is going to be an exciting time as we come together to reflect upon our personal lives and seek to gain better direction for our living. The committee has done its work and the topics are going to be exciting andpower packed. We are using as our text for the retreat the book Juggling Elephants by Jones Loflin. You can purchase it online or from any bookstore.

December 2010
Best Wishes to you from KACP
I hope and pray that each of you is well and that your ministry is advancing. We are ministering in a tough season, as there are so many hurting people within the body of Christ. Our ranks of soldiers and warriors are diminished. As well many of our steadfast saints are in their own intensive care and in need of reviving. How ironic I write this to you at this time of year. It is the Christmas season and that means we are remembering a time long ago much like this and God’s solution for the problem was to send His son. Jesus Christ is born to give both hope to the world and healing to the hurting. This is the season to preach and introduce persons to Christ. We must stir the evangelistic gifts of our congregation so that they carry the word that God is moving. He is moving in our churches and we must tell the story.
We are moving toward our Retreat in Dallas and it is going to be exciting. Dr. Denny Davis and the good people of St. John will be our host and as you know they do everything big in Texas. This will be a time for great enjoyment and inspiration. We have planned sessions with myself along with other presenters, time with our mates, and time in the word. We are looking at Peaks and Valleys and I hope all of you will have a chance to read Peaks and Valleys by Spencer Johnson, MD before we meet. It is a quick read but a powerful message is in its pages. Come prepared to spend quality time networking and growing in the word. We are about the business of building both spiritual and pastoral gifts but we are seeking to help persons develop their emotional healthiness.
I must confess this has been an exciting time for me as we have moved into our new church home. You will all see it when we host the conference in July. Yet it is also a time of great demands, as we have to occupy the new land. I do solicit your prayers, as this is no small challenge. Many of you who are involved in new moves of ministry or new challenges in your personal life, know that I am lifting you in prayer and when we come together in Texas, we will share our stories together.
Enjoy the holidays and spend quality time with those who appreciate you. This is the time to let God put people in your life that will build you up. I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks. End the year strong!!

Welcome to Baltimore
We are delighted to have KACP in Charm City. Baltimore is one of the great cities of the East Coast and we are happy that we can host the conference. We have been planning and preparing for your coming. Our Executive Council and Executive Team have worked long and hard to make sure that we leave with direction concerning “Building the Church from the Crowd of the Congregation". Within our churches are persons who are hungering for a more vital encounter with Christ and who want to be a part of his revolutionary redemptive work. The church is by definition “the called out,” and this week we will be empowering persons to step out and respond to the Lord’s word spoken into their lives. This is the season of the church and we must make sure that the bride is ready to perform her role.
In the sessions and seminars, we have brought some of the nations finest thinkers and spiritual guides. They will be a blessing to us and to our congregations. Glean all you can this week and take it home to your congregation and watch God move!
I look forward to meeting with you and talking with you about your ministry and the work you are doing. We are a fellowship and as such we care about the growth of individual members and churches. We are going to have a great time this week and we will leave here saying, “did not our hearts burn within us…”
